Alyssa Razook Wan Has Been Appointed Co-Vice Chair of Florida Bar RPPTL Section Committee

Fowler White is pleased to announce that Shareholder Alyssa Razook Wan has been appointed as a Co-Vice Chair to The Real Property, Probate & Trust Law (RPPTL) Section of the Florida Bar’s Charitable Planning and Exempt Organizations Committee.

Wan, a Shareholder in the Tax, Trust and Estates Practice Group, handles a variety of domestic and international matters for high-net-worth individuals and families, such as structuring and preparing sophisticated estate plans and trust agreements, structuring investment in and transfer of U.S. real property by non-residents, pre-immigration planning and estate planning involving multinational families and investments. She also assists clients who have recently relocated to Florida in establishing their homestead and estate plans under Florida law. Wan works closely with clients to form private foundations and public charities to accomplish their long-term charitable and family planning objectives.

The Charitable Planning and Exempt Organizations Committee studies recent tax and non-tax developments concerning donors and exempt organizations. A primary focus of the committee is to educate practitioners on charitable giving, including structuring of charitable gifts, planning and administration of charitable trusts, and the formation, governance and operation of exempt organizations. Another focus of the committee is the exchange of ideas among committee members and guests who can bring these ideas to their clients who wish to incorporate charitable giving as part of their estate plan.
