About Norman I. Weil
Norman Weil routinely provides counsel in the purchase and sale of commercial real estate properties, including office buildings, shopping centers, office warehouses, industrial facilities, apartment buildings and raw land. He also represents landlords and tenants in leasing transactions involving commercial properties.
Norman focuses his practice on real estate, with specific emphasis on commercial lending. Norm represents numerous financial institutions in real estate-based financing transactions, including traditional mortgage loans, re-financings, loan assumptions, mezzanine financing and workouts. He also handles commercial non-real estate financing; representing lenders making loans to businesses involving inventory, accounts receivable financing, letters of credit financing and mortgage warehouse financing.
Representative Matters
- Represented GBX Homestead, LLC, in its acquisition of approximately 117 acres of vacant land in Homestead, Florida from US Century REH I, LLC. The purchase price of the acquisition was $10,000,000.00. The property had previously been foreclosed by U.S. Century Bank and after acquiring title subsequently conveyed to US Century REH, I, an affiliate of the Seller. US Century Bank provided purchase money financing of $8,500,000.00.
