th Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association’s (
WISTA) International Annual General Meeting & Conference held November 9-13, 2016. The 2016 Conference drew over 250 international delegates in sessions covering the pressing issues faced by their industry.
Held at the Riverside Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, several Fowler White Burnett attorneys were on hand to personally welcome WISTA members and conference attendees from around the world, including firm Shareholder Elizabeth Johnson, Shareholder Christopher Knight, Shareholder Mike Pennekamp, Associate Alyssa Razook Wan, and Associate Christine Walker.
WISTA is an international organization for women in management positions involved in the maritime transportation business and related trades worldwide. Founded in 1974, WISTA now numbers nearly 2,500 individual members from 35 National WISTA Associations in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
