Fowler White Shareholders Listed Among Florida Legal Elite 2017 By Florida Trend

Fowler White Burnett is pleased to announce that shareholders Christopher E. Knight (Miami), and Susan H. Aprill (Ft. Lauderdale) have been recognized by Florida Trend in the Florida Legal Elite 2017.

Now in its 14th Year, Florida Legal Elite presents a prestigious roster of 1,080 attorneys from across the state of Florida chosen for recognition by their peers as lawyers who exemplify a standard of excellence in their profession and by so doing, have garnered the respect and esteem of their colleagues. The resulting Florida Legal Elite list represents fewer than 1.5 percent of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida.

Managing Shareholder Christopher E. Knight devotes a significant portion of his practice to the defense of medical malpractice and health care-related claims.  He also represents domestic and international airline carriers, aircraft and engine manufacturers and maintenance providers in litigation arising from mass disasters and aircraft accidents.  In the products arena, he handles products liability and related litigation for notable manufacturers, distributors and retailers.   Knight represents Fortune 500 companies, major insurance carriers, several airlines and manufacturers in state and federal courts. He has served as lead counsel in the defense of multi-district and class action litigation involving product liability, insurance and attorney general investigations.

Susan H. Aprill is a shareholder in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group.  Aprill's practice encompasses the full range of commercial litigation matters with particular emphasis on business disputes and employment matters, including claims against employers and by independent contractors under the ADA, the FMLA, the FLSA and Title VII and related state statutes. Aprill is called upon by clients to craft arguments and develop strategies that benefit both legal and business interests.
