Edward Briscoe is a Shareholder and leads the firm's Product Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Group. He is an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated attorney and has successfully defended lawsuits in front of the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals; the Northern, Middle and Southern District Courts of Florida; the Western, Middle and Eastern District Courts of Louisiana; as well as state courts throughout Florida and Louisiana.

Ed has nearly thirty years' experience dealing with lawsuits in both federal and state courts involving a wide variety of products, chemicals and hazardous materials, as well as the diseases commonly associated with exposure to these materials. His team, comprised of highly specialized associates and trial-tested partners, utilizes in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge medical, scientific and toxicology issues to successfully defend these complex cases. He additionally works extensively in evaluating and defending claims based on alleged property contamination, including: groundwater contamination, chemical spills and brownfields.
Ed frequently represents Fortune 500 companies and underwriters in the defense of personal and class action lawsuits alleging exposure to asbestos, silica, benzene, beryllium, mold and other toxins. He works with his clients in avoiding and mitigating potential litigation, including compliance with state and federal product liability laws, warning and recall issues, reviewing product warranties, operator manuals, and warning labels.
In addition to product liability and toxic tort cases, Ed handles complex matters involving environmental, transportation, maritime and premises liability. He currently represents leading members of the transportation sector including manufacturers, suppliers and trucking companies.
