Miami, FL – Fowler White Burnett shareholder Brian D. Elias was elected to serve on the City of Miami Beach Planning Board.
The board comprises seven members who listen, consider and make decisions on various applications from real estate developers and citizens for building and growth in the city. Elias, who will have a two year term on the board, was nominated for appointment by Mayor Philip Levine.
Members of the board have considerable experience in general business, land development, land development practices or land use issues, according to City of Miami Beach officials.
Elias’ practice encompasses a broad range of business litigation and arbitration matters. He has represented brokerage firms, banks, corporations and individuals in arbitration and litigation involving customers, employees, other institutions and other individuals.
Elias has over 25 years representing broker dealers in arbitrations brought by customers involving equities, fixed income, structured products, limited partnerships, options, managed accounts, margin and other financial products and additional representation in regulatory proceedings and internal investigations.
