Miami, FL – Fowler White Burnett attorney Christine M. Walker has been appointed to a two-year term on the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute (SEALI) Board of Directors. She represents the Miami-Fort Lauderdale region of the institute which provides a forum for the discussion of admiralty and maritime law, and its practice and administration, among practitioners in the ports of the Southeastern United States.
Walker is an associate in Fowler White Burnett’s Maritime Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on all aspects of Admiralty Law.
She received her LL.M. in Admiralty from Tulane University Law School, her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, and a B.B.A. from the University of Miami. Walker also holds a Certificate in Financial Regulatory Law & Policy from Washington College of Law Summer Institute and a Certificate in Admiralty & International Law of the Seas from Tulane University Law School, Study Abroad Program.
An active volunteer within the South Florida community, she was named Volunteer of the Year in 2009 by the United Way of Broward County, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Humane Society of Broward County. As a member of the Sunflower Circle, Walker works with the Children’s Diagnostic Treatment Center, a volunteer group that serves children with chronic illnesses.
