Miami, FL – Fowler White Burnett has hired Bruce S. Liebman and Juan C. Zorrilla as shareholders in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Joshua C. Kligler has also joined as an associate in the Group. As part of the firm’s expansion, Fowler White Burnett has added 18 attorneys since the beginning of 2014.
Liebman has more than 15 years of experience practicing in the areas of labor and employment law, representing management in hundreds of matters before federal and state agencies and in federal and state court, working with dozens of EPLI and D&O carriers in the representation of their insureds.
Liebman’s broad range of experience includes jury trials in employment discrimination and commercial litigation cases in federal court, including age and retaliation claims; day-to-day preventative counseling and advice; and training for supervisors and human resources personnel on managing the workplace and complying with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. His practice has also concentrated on the representation of international and domestic hospitality companies and casinos in the area of liability, collections and gaming issues.
Zorrilla, whose practice focuses on the areas of complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation as well as creditors' rights, has more than 30 years of trial and appellate experience representing clients in a broad range of disputes.
His diverse litigation background includes handling federal and state court appeals and federal court cases involving from business and real estate-related matters to litigation implicating constitutional issues.
Kligler actively practices in all areas of real estate related litigation, including lender liability, bankruptcy, foreclosures, and condominium and homeowners association collections. With a practice focused on bankruptcy matters, Kligler has represented financial institutions throughout the State of Florida at mediations, motion calendar hearings, motions for summary judgments, and trials. He also is experienced in representing homeowner and condominium associations in their collections and general real estate matters.
Kligler’s real estate practice includes handling postâ€foreclosure-related litigation consisting of resolving title issues and association assessment disputes in order for clients to market and sell property free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
