Fowler White Burnett, P.A. announced today that one of their attorneys, Ms. E. Adriana Kostencki, was named as an Alternate Director of the Board of Directors of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce of the United States for the 2011-2014 term.
Ms. Kostencki has been an active member of the VACC since 2010, where she has been involved in promoting strategies to increase business between Venezuela and the U.S. At Fowler White Burnett, Ms. Kostencki's practice focuses on cross-border maritime, aviation, customs, and insurance issues. She assists with the representation of domestic and international clients across the maritime and aviation industry, including insurers, airlines, cargo carriers, vessel owners, charterers, shipping companies, and marina and terminal operators.
Ms. Kostencki is a member of the American Bar Association, Venezuelan Maritime Law Association, Ibero-American Institute of Maritime Law, The Florida Bar, International Division, Trial Lawyers Division, Appellate Practice Division, Young Lawyers Division, Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Dade County Bar Association. She holds a dual Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela. Ms. Kostencki is licensed to practice in the federal district and state courts of both Florida and Venezuela.
