MIAMI, FLA - Fowler White Burnett attorney, Howard E. Fox, is set to speak on environmental enforcement on February 26, 2014 in the Environmental Law and Policy class at the University of Miami School of Law.
Mr. Fox will discuss a variety of environmental enforcement issues with the students of Professor Felix Mormann's Environmental Law and Policy class. Topics of discussion include the environmental enforcement process; differences between federal, state and local enforcement; and a significant enforcement case Mr. Fox worked on as a Senior Attorney at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. A question and answer period is also planned, as well as a discussion of environmental career paths. In addition to Mr. Fox, presenters will also include representatives from Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM).
Mr. Fox’s broad-based environmental practice encompasses environmental and land use litigation, regulation and transactions, as well as toxic torts and product liability. In each of these areas, his experience working in the state and federal government enables him to deploy effective, cost-efficient strategies to achieve his clients’ goals. He frequently represents publicly-traded companies, including global manufacturers, distributors and power companies. Mr. Fox has successfully represented clients in trials, depositions, hearings, mediation, motion practice and settlement negotiations. Over his career, Mr. Fox has handled cases against nearly every large environmental law practice in Florida.
