Prior to joining Fowler White Burnett, Dunleavy gained 10 years of experience defending claims at a boutique law firm, specializing in admiralty and maritime law. He was instrumental in achieving favorable appellate decisions in the areas of Act of God and forum non convenient.
Dunleavy is active in the local maritime community including the Fort Lauderdale Mariners Club and Propeller Club. His professional, non-legal background includes experience as an adjunct professor at the University of Miami, where he has taught public speaking since 2005.
