Miami, FL – The Fowler White Burnett team went undefeated in the first annual Zo’s Hoop-Law Madness basketball tournament, coming in second place with a loss in the final few minutes of the championship game.
The three-on-three tournament, hosted by former Heat center Alonzo Mourning to benefit the Overtown Youth Center, consisted of 32 teams comprising attorneys and their staff. The event was expected to raise more than $50,000 for the center, which provides a safe haven for a variety of youth-focused activities.
Fowler White Burnett’s team members included Jonathan H. Dunleavy; William A. Potucek; Michael A. Monteverde; André D. Sesler; Chris M. Hewitt; and Jesse D. Drawas. The firm’s participation in Zo’s Hoop-Law Madness was highlighted in a WSVN feature story (click here.)
Fowler White Burnett’s Zo’s Hoop-Law Madness team effort is part of the firm’s award-winning FWB Connects Community Initiative Program, which provides a venue for attorneys, staff and their families to join together in a variety of efforts to support the important work of many worthy, not-for-profit organizations in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
“We were really pleased to have the opportunity to support the important work of the Overtown Youth Center,” says Christopher E.
