Fowler White Continues To Expand With Addition Of Two New Shareholders

Fowler White Burnett is pleased to announce its continued expansion by adding two new shareholders. Charles ("Charlie") S. Davant has joined the firm's Fort Lauderdale office as a Shareholder in their Maritime Practice Group and Oscar Grisales-Racini has joined the firm’s Miami office as a Shareholder in the firm's Tax, Trust & Estates, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity/Venture Capital Practice Groups.

Davant is an experienced litigation and trial attorney who focuses his practice in the areas of maritime and admiralty, product liability and commercial litigation. He has worked on a wide variety of marine-related cases as well as the defense of product liability cases on behalf of manufacturers in both the marine and non-marine arenas. He has been Florida Bar Board Certified in the field of Admiralty and Maritime Law since 2013, is AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Grisales-Racini’s practice is concentrated on domestic, inbound and outbound international tax planning, corporate, trusts and estate tax planning issues, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, and EU law. He has written several books and articles on international tax, transfer pricing, tax reform in China, and on U.S. inbound and outbound tax planning in Latin American and European countries. He is licensed in strategic global jurisdictions such as Florida, U.S., England & Wales, Ireland, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), and Colombia. Mr. Grisales-Racini holds a J.D. degree, an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University, a Master’s degree in International Taxation and Financial Services, and an MBA. In addition, he is a candidate for admission to the Hong Kong Law Society.
