Fowler White's Maritime Practice Continues To Expand With Addition Of Two New Shareholders, Robert D. McIntosh and Adam B. Cooke

Fowler White Burnett is pleased to announce that Robert D. McIntosh and Adam B. Cooke have joined the firm as Shareholders in the Maritime Practice Group.

Both Shareholders have vast experience in civil litigation, with an emphasis on matters pertaining to the maritime and admiralty industry. Fowler, now in its 78th year of operation, has one of Florida's longest-standing and preeminent maritime practice groups that is part of a full-service law firm.

Robert McIntosh, a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial attorney, has significant experience in representing yacht owners, yacht clubs, yacht brokers, crew members, passengers, pleasure boats, cargo vessels, cruise ships, marine underwriters, P&I Clubs, shipyards, and facilities that repair and store vessels. He has a background in representing vessels in collisions, ship repair disputes, salvage claims, repair facilities, and warranty claims. Robert has represented major manufacturers in product liability litigation, lending institutions involved in the financing of pleasure vessels, including new construction, and has been involved in the arrest of ships for maritime liens and for the foreclosure of ship mortgages. In addition, he has experience in prosecuting and defending personal injury claims, including Jones Act, Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act claims, and maintenance and cure.  

Adam Cooke is Florida Bar Board Certified in Admiralty and Maritime Law. He has a background in a variety of Maritime & Admiralty areas including: maritime lien claims, commercial yacht disputes, ship mortgage foreclosure, cargo claims, collision claims, salvage claims, limitation of liability claims, and Jones Act personal injury actions. He also has experience in insurance defense work, construction litigation, complex commercial litigation and has represented various lenders in litigation and collection matters.
