Stuart H. Altman Appointed to the Florida Bar Standing Committee on Professionalism

We are pleased to announce that Stuart H. Altman has been appointed to the Florida Bar’s Standing Committee on Professionalism (SCOP) and will also serve on their Awards Working Group for the 2020-2021 term.

The mission of the SCOP is to promote the fundamental ideals and values of professionalism within the legal system and to instill those ideals of character, competence, commitment, and civility in all those personals servicing and seeking to serve therein.

Altman is of counsel in Fowler White’s Miami office where he focuses his practice on estate planning, probate and guardianship matters. An AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, Altman has served as Court Appointed Counsel in estate, guardianship and mental health proceedings. He is a member of The Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami and currently serves on The Florida Bar’s Senior Lawyers Committee.

He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois.
