As Published in the Bitter End Bulletin of the Maritime Law Association of the United States: Troubled Waters - Crew Claims From The Black Sea

Fowler White Shareholder Christine M. Walker's article "Troubled Waters - Crew Claims From The Black Sea" has been published in the March 14, 2022 edition of the Bitter End Bulletin.

Christine serves as co-Editor of The Bitter End Bulletin, published by the Committee on Maritime Torts and Casualties of the Maritime Law Association of the United States.

Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, traversing the Black Sea has not been without incident. At least three non-military vessels have been hit by weapons contemporaneous to the invasion. These incidents have resulted in injuries to the crew, giving rise to the question - - what duty is owed to foreign crewmembers aboard vessels operating in dangerous and, potentially, warn-torn regions of the world?
