Star L. Boyce Joins Fowler White’s Miami Office


Fowler White Burnett
is pleased to announce that Star L. Boyce has joined the firm’s Miami office as an Associate in the Medical Malpractice Practice Group where she will focus her practice on all aspects of medical malpractice defense representing health care providers, facilities and health systems.

Boyce is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and participates in local charities such as X-Mas Share and Mana Studio for Puerto Rico Hurricane Irma Relief.

Boyce received her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Center and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in philosophy, from the University of Illinois.

Charles "Charlie" P. Gourlis, Jr. Joins Fowler White

Fowler White Burnett is pleased to announce that Charlie Gourlis has joined the firm’s Miami office as an Associate in the Maritime Practice Group.

Gourlis focuses his practice on all aspects of Admiralty Law and has extensive experience litigating, arbitrating, and meditating maritime disputes, including those governed by the substantive laws of the United States, Panama, Norway, and The Bahamas. He has also practiced complex commercial and construction litigation, representing parties in complex multi-million dollar litigation, including claims for breach of contract, construction and design defects, insurance, and property rights disputes.

Gourlis received his Juris Doctor degree from the American University Washington College of Law and Masters of Business Administration degree from the American University Kogod School of Business. He additionally obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in Economics and Political Science, from the College of Holy Cross.
