Through its defense of WYOs, Fowler White has become an authority on the National Flood Insurance Program, the Standard Flood Insurance Policy and federally subsidized insurance policies. As part of our engagement following a catastrophic flood event, our team of lawyers remains in close contact with WYOs and FEMA to ensure all of the parties’ interests, including the policyholder, are protected in conformity with all statutory duties associated with the National Flood Insurance Program.
Fowler White has represented WYOs in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana and Hawaii and defended a major national insurance company before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In doing so, Fowler White has successfully furthered the Congressional goal of achieving uniform litigation outcomes interpreting the codified Standard Flood Insurance Policy.
