Fay American Inn of Court and The Saint Thomas University School of Law's Presentation “Master the Art of Interviewing: A Panel Discussion on Interviewing, Whether for Private Law Firms, or Public Entities or Judicial Appointments.”

June discussed successful interviewing from the perspective of the private sector and big firms.

On March 17, 2021, Shareholders Walter Latimer and Bruno Renda presented a live CLE webinar for Strafford on, “Motor Carrier Claims for Negligent Entrustment, Hiring, Training, and Retention.” 

This webinar covered the liability of trucking companies and what the results of that may entail. They discussed defense theories, discovery strategies, and best practices to minimize risks.

Joseph Englander presents webinar: Business Structure - Which Should I Choose?
Shareholder Joseph Englander presented the webinar "Business Structure - Which Should I Choose?" today to The Tampa Bay Women's Business Centre where he discussed the difference between Sole Proprietorship, LLC, S-Corp as well as the importance of copyrights, trademarks, and patents.

Joseph Englander is a Shareholder in the Miami office of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group where he handles Intellectual Property, Hemp, Food and Beverage and Customs Law issues for his clients. 

He also handles a broad range of intellectual property matters, including the prosecution of U.S. and international patents, trademarks and copyrights, the negotiation and enforcement of intellectual property transactions and licensing agreements and the representation of corporations and individuals in intellectual property disputes and related corporate matters. Joseph is experienced in trials before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Additionally, Joseph manages domain name arbitrations and performs due diligence for acquisitions of corporations and intellectual property portfolios. He prepares clients' worldwide intellectual property protection strategies and drafts and enforces client software agreements.

Walter Latimer and Bruno Renda will be speaking in an upcoming webinar, "Motor Carrier Claims for Negligent Entrustment, Hiring and Retention," on Wednesday, October 28th.

This CLE webinar will guide personal injury counsel in proving or defending claims against motor carriers and insurance companies for negligent entrustment, hiring or retention of a truck driver in the wake of a trucking accident. This panel guided personal injury counsel in elements of each claim, defense theory, apportioning liability and damages, impact of admission, best practices for defense counsel, and more.

Shareholders Walter Latimer and Bruno Renda spoke in the Strafford Live Webinar, “Litigating Equipment Failures in Trucking Cases: The Blurring of Negligence and Products Liability” on June 30th, 2020. 

This CLE webinar discussed the overview of products liability theory, product defects found in traditional trucking equipment and in software and sensor-driven safety systems, and countering manufacturers efforts to shift blame to drivers.
